Tutoring Services
During enrollment, we ask parents to bring in their child’s most recent report card, test scores and/or work samples from school. We use this information as well as feedback from you and your child about school performance and experiences to plan a learning agenda to meet your child’s specific needs.
Each tutoring session at Aspire is planned according to curriculum standards of the Texas Education Agency. Sessions are 55 minutes long with a teacher/student ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 where students receive consistent teaching, guidance, and evaluation. Students who are behind in school improve skills they need in-order-to fill gaps and to strengthen problem solving skills. Students who are ahead in school work on strengthening problem solving strategies and move ahead in their schools’ curriculum.
We allow students to bring in their homework from school to guide and teach them ways to confidently work through problems by themselves. Our lessons include interactive activities, computer programs, and pencil-paper work. Our students are given homework by their instructor to allow them to continue learning at home.
Sessions are held Monday-Thursday starting at 4:45pm, 5:45pm, and 6:45pm as well as Saturdays at 10:00am, 11:00am, and 12:00pm.
